The Role of the Construction Industry Unit is to formulate appropriate policies to promote and ensure construction industry demands are achieved and trends maintained, develop contractor training and capacity enhancement programs, and develop any other appropriate assistance programs for small and medium-sized locally-owned contractors and liaise with established training institutions to administer the development of systematic programs for the construction industry sector

Objectives
To ensure the development of an effective Construction Industry Policy.
To establish a Construction Industry Development Authority.
To effectively manage the Construction Industry Registration System.
Our Main Responsibilities
To provide advice on appropriate technology and methods, to develop guidelines for capacity building of the industry, and to advise the private sector of the Government's initiative in the promotion of the industry.
To develop uniform criteria and guidelines for contractor registration and classification, issue certificates of registration for all contractors and builders, and establish a registry of contractors.

Coordinate and conduct training programs for technical managerial and operating personnel of the industry.
